I’m finally back from a bit of a blogging hiatus! If you’ve been checking the blog, thank you for being so patient! I was sick for awhile and then took a bit of a much needed break. I’ve just been going, going, going without stopping with everything since graduation and it was nice to take a little bit of time and just relax for a bit, figure some things out career-wise (exciting!), and also get some more inspiration for this little blog (also exciting!). So thanks for hanging in there with me!
In the meantime, whew, I’ve been really busy!
First, I discovered this pond filled with Piranhas!
Then Mr. Sweet discovered a volcano!
I came across this really humongous lizard out in the forest…
Then Mr. Sweet saw it too…
I battled it, of course.
Then I had to deal with this guy. He looks pretty mad, huh?
But it was ok. He just wanted our golf balls back.
Then I got to enjoy a lovely birthday dinner with my sweetie.
Mini golf was the best! It was the coolest place! I am a total goof about mini golf because we didn’t have anything like that in my small town growing up, so whenever I get a chance to do something like that, I love it! Mr. Sweet and I went to play mini golf on one of our very first dates and he knows I love it, so he totally surprised me with this fun birthday excursion. We wanted to do bumper boats too, but they were closed, which ended up being okay, because as soon as we finished our round of mini golf it started pouring! Can you believe it?
As a side note, the volcano there “erupts” and shoots fire every 10 minutes or so – it was startling at first (we, um, may have both jumped the first time we heard the volcano noise), but then we got to see it and it was pretty cool! We tried to get a picture of it, but it was way too bright for the camera, so the picture didn’t really turn out.
Any other mini golf fans out there? Where is your favorite place to go?
I’ll leave you with this snuggly dachshund pic:
That’s super snuggly alright. 🙂
I can’t wait to share some new stories, crafts, and inspiration with you guys! I have some really fun things planned, so please add the blog to your Google Reader or BlogLovin’ and keep checking back.
