Spring Palette Inspiration

March 7, 2012

Ok, so I guess that technically it’s not really spring yet, but it’s getting close! The weather here has gradually been getting warmer the last few weeks (with a little bit of snow still mixed in here and there), but yesterday actually really felt like spring! Birds were out chirping all day, people were taking evening walks and wearing t-shirts instead of coats and sweaters, and it actually got warm enough inside the house to open the windows and let some fresh air in!

Today, however, it’s misty, cloudy, and in the lower 30’s with anticipated snow. Oh silly weather. But really, spring is just around the corner!

So, in anticipation of some warmer weather, here is some spring palette inspiration and eye candy:

Most of the images from the collage board come from an inspiration folder that I keep on my desktop, so I’m not entirely sure what brand they are or where you can buy them. I really need to find a better system for keeping track of that info! I do know that most of the clothing images originally came from J. Crew and Anthropologie. If you are really curious about an item let me know and I will try and find the source for you.

This spring I’m loving sweet pastel colors, pretty feminine details, a little bit of lace, and lots of texture. I love that tan scallop skirt! These things will definitely be influencing a lot of my sewing projects for spring.

Is it warming up where you are? What are you looking forward to for spring?
